Internationally Acclaimed Actor, José Roldan, Jr., was born and raised in the South Bronx of New York City to Latino/Hispanic-Puerto Rican parents. José's passion for acting started when he was cast as a lead in a Latino version of "The Wizard of Oz," at his elementary School. José Went on to perform in various school plays and upon graduating South Bronx High School, he was cast in The Arts in Counseling team with the NYC Board of Education. Through the Arts in Counseling team, José toured NYC high schools, performing musicals, written, choreographed, and composed by the team themselves. He continued his studies at Lehman College located in the Northern Bronx, where he graduated with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Theater. During his studies at Lehman, José wrote and performed his award-winning solo show, "Father Forgive Me For I have Sinned." After completing his degree at Lehman, José moved to Los Angeles to continue his studies as an Actor. He studied the Meisner Technique at the Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio in Hollywood, California.
José is available for the stage, film, radio, or any special appearances.
José recently finished his Master's degree in Creative Writing at Southern New Hampshire University where he completed writing his first feature film. He can also be seen in the upcoming seasons of Orange Is The New Black and Power. To hear more of what José is up to, follow him on social media.
